Meditation is very important for mind development practitioners because it develops concentration and calmness of the mind by shutting all worthless thoughts and worries out.
It will help you towards setting free the body’s healing powers and giving it back the energy once misspent on the pressures of life.
Now, you are going to learn how to meditate. This is a meditation that will help you to solve problems because when you have mastered this you will be at a state of mind where you will be able to let your imagination go, thus helping you to work out problems.
The Meditation Technique
Find a quiet place to begin your meditation practice. Find a place where you can sit down and unwind. Make sure that you won’t get distracted by background noise. Also tell everyone that you don’t want to be disturbed. If there is a lot of distractions by background noise put ear plugs in your ears, or play some serene background music.
- Sit upright either on a chair or in the lotus position with one hand on your stomach and the other on your chest.
- Breathe in through your nose, enough to make your stomach rise, but remember to make sure that your chest only moves as little as possible.
- Now exhale through your mouth, and push the air out with as much power as you can.
- Now repeat the same procedure until you feel any tension seeping away from your body. While you are doing this exercise notice the rise and fall of your lower abdomen.
Now place your hands flat on your lap and close your eyes and look upward, behind your eyelids, at a 20-degree angle. For reasons not fully known, this position of the eyes by themselves will start the meditative state to be induced. Remember to sill keep the rhythmic breathing still going throughout this meditation.
Now, slowly, count backwards: as you breath in say in your mind 100 as you breath out say in your mind 99, as you breath in 98, as you breath out 97 and so on all the way down to 1.
Remember as you do this keep your mind on the numbers. If you have any intruding thoughts just acknowledge them and let them go.
Do the hundred to one method for five days.
Then count from 50 to one for another five days.
Then count twenty-five to one for another five days.
And lastly five to one for another five days.
To have the full advantages of such relaxation methods, you must make time each day to practice. Only then can you utilize the soothing power that these practices bring. It does not have to take much of your time each day.
What you are doing is programming your mind to instantly relax whenever you want it to. In the end, all you will need to do is start your breathing and counting mentally from five to one and you will feel the calmness come over you.
Remember when you start the breathing, breath in on five and out on four in on three and out on two in on one and then just continue the breathing rhythm.
Think about it, you will no longer feel stressed out because you will able to instantly relax your mind and body with this easy meditation technique.
Stress management is a valuable routine that a lot of people at the present time need to practice. Amid a high-speed working environment, people are continuously exposed to enormous pressure that ends in disagreeable amount of stress in their everyday lives.

Go into your meditative state and then Imagine you are talking to another person. It could be a family member, friend, someone from history, or someone you have just made up from your imagination.
There is no need to be bothered if the picture you have is not absolutely clear your unconscious mind will know what you want to accomplish and will find a way to communicate with you either by pictures, audio or feelings.
Now imagine that you are discussing your problem with this person. You could ask: “What should I do now?” Don’t think about what the other person should say, just let it flow. Remember the answer might come as a picture, sound, or a feeling just trust in your intuitive self because you already know the answer.
To come out of the meditative state mentally say, “I will slowly come out as I count from one to five, feeling wide awake and better than before one-two-coming out opening my eyes-three-four-five-eyes open, wide awake, feeling great and full of life.” Use this way of coming out of all of your meditations.
