Depending on the kind of wine you use the fabric could turn out to be anything in colour from deep mauve to pale pink.

5 Slow the Aging Process with Red Wine

Does drinking red wine every day slow the aging process or not? According to Richard A. Baxter, MD the author of Age Gets Better with Wine: “As an anti-aging device, it’s as good as it gets.”

He states that drinking the red stuff in moderation is the best thing you can do to reduce aging, other than giving up smoking.

But, drinking more wine than the recommended amount can have the opposite effect on your health and appearance.

He suggests two glasses of red wine for men and one for women.

“Red wine contains more antioxidants than white, which may help counteract some aging processes,” said Dr. Jessica Krant, Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

She goes on to say:  “I would say the best single drink to have to support skin health and minimize aging risks is a glass of red wine.”

Dr. Krant, also added. “Any alcohol in excess contributes more to aging than it protects.”

According to Dr. Debra Jaliman, author of “Skin Rules: Trade Secrets from a Top New York Dermatologist.

” Red wine is in fact the most damaging drink for those with skin problems like rosacea.” Also: “Red wine can also cause histamine release in some people, leading to increased flushing and more of a hangover,”

Some words on white wine.  Apparently drinking white wine can lead to bloating and swollen skin, as well as making you hungry.

The resveratrol found in red wine can boost the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain. Which in turn could increase your brain power and improve your memory, new studies have shown.

German researchers found that resveratrol improves short-term recall and enhances concentration.

This is very good news for the elderly: since there is a natural drop in blood supply to the brain later on in life.

7 Help your Heart with Red Wine

Apparently many in the medical profession agree that something in red wine appears to aid your heart from getting heart disease. (It’s possible that a substance called resveratrol or antioxidants, like flavonoids that are in the wine can have some sort of health benefits on the heart).

But doctors are cautious in not encouraging people to start drinking alcohol. The reason being, that too much of the stuff can have numerous damaging effects on the body.

But, at the end of the day, there is still no absolute proof that red wine is any better for your heart than any other forms of alcohol such as white wine, beer or liquor taken in moderation.
